Multi-Process MIG Buyer Guide — One Box, Three Processes

One machine that welds wire (MIG), rods (MMA) and TIG — what it genuinely does, and what it doesn't. No hype; this guide tells you when a 3-in-1 is the smart buy and when it isn't.

What a 3-in-1 actually gives you

MIG: fast, clean welds on mild steel — the production process. The 555 Multi Mig Mini (AED 875) runs gasless flux-core wire, so you weld outdoors and skip the gas bottle entirely.
MMA (stick): rods up to 110A on the Mini — repairs, rusty steel, windy sites.
Lift-TIG: clean DC TIG on steel and stainless with a lift-start torch.

What it does NOT do (read before buying)

No aluminium TIG — that needs AC output: see the 555 TIG 200 AC/DC (AED 3,750).
Not a production MIG — for all-day wire welding on 380V you want the MIG 280 GW (AED 4,400) or MIG 350IJ (AED 7,500).
Duty cycle is workshop-grade, not factory-grade — honest figures per model on WhatsApp before you buy.

Who the 3-in-1 is right for

Maintenance teams carrying one box to every job · workshops starting out on a 220V socket · site crews welding outdoors where gas bottles are a headache · anyone who welds steel most days and stainless occasionally.
